| Kaneland Blackberry Creek Parent Teacher Organization Welcome to our school, Kaneland Families! The 2008/2009 school year has officially started and the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hard at work planning many wonderful events and activities that not only with fun.....but will also earn a little money! One major change that the PTO is making, is we are trying to get away from having the children "sell" items or go door to door in order to do fund raising. Fund raising is an important part to the PTO. With the funds we raise, last year we purchased new laptop computers and a cart for the school. We have also purchased the Peaceful Playground equipment, new chair bags, each teacher received money from the PTO to spend on books or items they need in the classroom. We are extremely excited about all the events we are working on! One is an After School Classroom Enrichment Program - It is a program run by parents who volunteer to teach students attending a workshop or class after school. Some examples of a classes are woodworking, cross-stitch, a book club and many others. We are looking for a help to research starting this program for next year. We are also planning a Dinner/Silent Auction in December. There will be many baskets perfect for gift giving, family fun adventures or a little something to pamper yourself! | Someone is needed to take photographs throughout the year at the various activities! | ||
| Spring Family Fling - Help is needed with refreshments, decorations & | |
| selling tickets. |

fees. If you an interest in seeing our Blackberry Creek children succeed, please consider yourself a
member of the PTO. Our PTO is led by a group of parent volunteers. The board is here to plan and
